Some things in life come when you’re not looking for them. That was the case for Kerry and Mark Neujahr, BirthdayPak franchise owners of Orlando, when Kerry learned about BirthdayPak from Chad Bickle, vice president of franchising, via LinkedIn. They are relatively new franchise owners, having started their market in July 2016. Kerry believes BirthdayPak is a “great differentiator” and was drawn to the program for its simplicity and tractability.

“Businesses really like BirthdayPak because it’s so different and love that they can track it,” she says, referring to the ease of seeing the return when BirthdayPak gift cards are redeemed.

Kerry previously owned a publishing company, and easily transitioned to a franchise business. She also worked in her father’s restaurant – providing invaluable business experience and a natural ability to relate to her restaurant BirthdayPak partners. While Kerry handles sales and prospecting, Mark does the backend work of creating tracking reports for business partners and Facebook campaigns.Mark Headshot 1

Kerry and Mark hit the ground running and opened four zones in the Orlando market. “Success is achieving short-term goals along the way,” she says. Their next goal is to open 11 zones within a year, with the ultimate goal of owning the central Florida market from coast-to-coast.  Kerry says that her clients who commit to BirthdayPak for at least six months have seen positive results.

Freedom and flexibility are just some of the benefits to owning a business, says Kerry. It’s undeniably a tremendous amount of work, but a great opportunity for someone with sales strength. “You can’t take a ‘no’ as ‘never,’” says Kerry.
